Registration Instructions for 2011-2012

The Sessions will be filled in on a first come-first served priority basis, with additional consideration given to teachers and other sevaks critical to smooth operation of the program. A registrant's first-come-first-served priority will be established only upon completion of ALL the registration requirements defined in Section 8 of this document. Assignment of registrants to morning and afternoon sessions will be finalized by a Chinmaya Somnath coordination team based on the above principles. : 6. Language and Shloka:
b. The tentative timings for Language and Shloka-1&2 classes are as follows: - Language classes will be held in between the Sunday morning and afternoon Bala Vihar sessions from 11:35am-12:35pm. - Shloka-1 class will be held on Sundays from 11:45am-12:15pm concurrent with the Language classes - Shloka-2 class will be held from 12:40pm-1:10pm. - Children enrolled in Language classes would have to enroll in Shloka-2 class only. - Final class schedule will be posted on our website. c. One or more of these classes may be cancelled if there is not sufficient interest, or if qualified teacher sevaks are not available. The list of special classes to be offered will be finalized by the 4th week of August 2011. d. Pledge for Language and Shloka Classes if you are not a Sponsor: The one-time annual non-refundable pledge for the special classes listed in Section 7 will have to be paid at the time of registration and can be made by check along with the Bala Vihar pledge amount. e. Every effort will be made to schedule language and shloka classes so as to minimize any conflicts. However, if there happens to be a scheduling conflict for the language and shloka classes you have selected, we will notify you via email and ask for your preference before the open house (Sept 11, 2011). 7. Annual Pledges Amounts and Payment Options: Two pledge levels are available to registrants:
The annual Sponsor Pledge is $1212 per family (parents and children). This amount may be paid in one of the following ways:
ii. 12 monthly payments of $101 each via automatic deduction from your bank account For Sponsors, no additional pledges are required for Bala Vihar, language or shloka classes. b. Basic Pledge The annual pledge is $360 per family (parents and children). This amount may be paid in one of the following ways:
ii. 12 monthly payments of $30 each via automatic deduction from your bank account For Basic Pledge Members, the following pledge amounts apply for Bala Vihar, language and shloka classes:
ii. Language - $100/year for the first family member; $50/year for each additional family member iii. Shloka - $50/year for each family member For Basic Pledge Members, non-refundable pledges for Bala Vihar, language and shloka classes will have to be paid in full by check at the time of registration. If the total family pledge amount poses an extraordinary financial hardship, please contact the Chapter Director for consideration of financial aid. In case we are not able to offer you your preferred session or classes, and if you wish to withdraw, please notify membership@chinmayasomnath.org latest by September 30, 2011. Your annual pledge will be cancelled and any payments made by you towards 2011-2012 registration will be refunded by check. 8. Instructions for Submission of Registration Receipt and Payment/Bank Deduction Authorization: Please note that your registration will be considered complete only upon receipt of the signed Online Registration Receipt along with your payment/bank deduction authorization as follows:

9. Rules
of Conduct To enable CMWRC to run a high quality program that all members can benefit from, we request your cooperation in adhering to the following rules of conduct. a. Eating, drinking or chewing of gum IS NOT PERMITTED in the auditorium, in classrooms or in any other areas of the school unless explicitly authorized. Food purchased from ANNAPURNA is to be consumed in designated areas and waste disposed into designated trash containers. b. Do NOT bring sports equipment to the center. There shall be No running in the hallways. c. Respect self, others and property. Maintain decorum at all times. DO NOT touch or move classroom material. Leave furniture and classroom environment as found at the beginning of the class. Put trash in trash bins. d. Parents of Bala Vihar children are expected to be in the Adults' Gita / Vedanta class during the Bala Vihar sessions. They should not leave the premises or wait in the hallways during the session. e. As each class will start promptly at the scheduled time, please arrive and assemble a few minutes in advance of the start time. In you are late, please wait outside until the prayers are over. f. Maintain appropriate dress code: Boys: Kurta Pajama or full pants with kurta. No hats, jeans, or shorts. Girls: Salwar Kameez or long skirt with blouse. Wear a bindi. (Children or youth who are attending some other activity after Bala Vihar may bring a change of clothes with them.) g. Teachers invest significant effort in preparing for class, and they care for the Bala Vihar children. If your child cannot attend class because of illness or other unavoidable reasons, please inform your child's Bala Vihar teacher. h. In order to encourage regular attendance, 'Excellence in Attendance' awards will be given at the end of the year, to students with a good attendance record. A good attendance record is defined as no more than 3 informed absences (teacher to be notified) during the year. i. Please purchase the class textbooks at the Open House. Please ensure that children come to class prepared and with their Bala Vihar textbook, notebook and other school supplies as required by the teachers. |

10. Privacy Policy a. The family's contact information provided by you, will be used only for internal purposes. If any of them is required to be used in fliers and other external publicity material, we will do so only with your permission. b. CMWRC will publish from time to time for publicity purposes, group photos of members taken at different events in the Mission, without identifying the members. If we have to identify the members, we will do so only with your prior permission. |
